Rates & Insurance Policy
MothersWay provides a variety of services so our rates vary accordingly. Please see the program you are interested in to determine the cost.
Insurance
At this time, counseling at MothersWay is not covered by insurance plans. We regret that this may make it difficult for some clients, but this decision has been made to protect your privacy and to allow us to create a plan together that meets your specific needs, rather than one that is mandated by an outside third party.
You may be able to be reimbursed for our Doula Services. Please inform us if you need an invoice and you can contact your insurance company to submit a claim form. We are also working toward becoming an ASO and Medicaid Provider in Florida.
*MothersWay is not responsible for insurance claims and payment is required in full by the client per agreement.
We strive to offer many options to allow everyone an opportunity to participate in our programs. For this reason, we do offer a sliding fee upon request. Please discuss your individual needs so we can set up a plan that works for everyone.
Payment
Payments can be made online at our website prior to each appointment or by cash or credit card on day of appointment.
Cancellations
Please provide 24 hours notice to cancel your appointment. We are mothers too and understand that emergencies do happen, but please respect our time and others need for an appointment.
You are responsible for full payment of sessions that are not cancelled within 4 hours of appointment time.

For your convenience we have the forms needed for Intake available for download. Please fill these out and bring with you to your first appointment to allow more time for discussion.
Appointments
Free 15 minute phone consultation for counseling and Free 30 minute Doula face to face consultation to determine if we are a good match for your needs.
Individual Counseling/Coaching sessions are usually 1x/week for 60 minutes.
Initial appointment can last up to 90 minutes.

We are mobile! For mothers who are unable to come to our office, we make house calls or we can meet you at a mutually agreed upon place (coffee shop, library, etc...).**Only provided in the Tampa/Clearwater/St.Pete area
We are baby friendly and clients are welcome to bring baby and/or support person to initial appointment.
Future appointments will be best suited without baby however, to fully concentrate on your own needs during counseling/coaching sessions. The exception to this would be during parent/child groups. (ages will be posted).
Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between a client and counselor/coach and information cannot be disclosed without your written permission.
Exceptions include:
Suspected child abuse or dependant adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in insuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
**During your first visit you will be required to read and sign our Confidentiality & Privacy Policy along with other Intake paperwork.
